Swaptree Officially Becomes Swap.com

Like most people, we enjoy a little routine in our day. If you’re like us, your day starts something like this:

Wake up, take the dog out, get the kids’ lunches made while brewing the first cup of essential coffee, wake the better half (although we both know he’s not the better half in the morning), clean up the mess in the sink your teenager left behind last night, get the kids up and off to camp, fix his tie, find his briefcase and finally, sit down to the computer and see what’s new on Swaptree.com.

And then, the ultimate shock! It’s not Swaptree!!!

Don’t panic: It’s going to be OK. If you go online to the usual Swaptree and landed on Swap.com, you’re in the right place. Swaptree.com is growing bigger and better, and that means more exciting things for you, including a new site.

As you know, we recently acquired Swap.com making this site the largest online trading site. Over the next few months you’ll start to see some changes but we promise, they won’t hurt a bit. You might notice some new things like a new logo, new colors, new categories but don’t worry, you can still trade all your media – books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, and video games – and soon, so much more. We’re going to add additional categories, which means you can start cleaning out the attic and digging out the boxes underneath your bed in anticipation of the great Swap movement. While you’re at it, don’t forget to check under the kids’ beds, too.

One important thing to mention: with the transfer from Swaptree.com to Swap.com, all the site’s cookies have been disabled. In plain English, you’re going to have to log-in again. All of your information is safe and secure and will transfer seamlessly, but the site will request that you login as if you’re a ‘new user.’ Just use the same login/password combo you always have and you’ll be fine.

So, get started on the swapping! Embrace the change; be one with the swap. And, hey, if it makes you feel better, you can still call us “the tree”.
