Our community members at Swap.com are people who are trying to make the most out of the stuff that they have. We learned that many are teachers and librarians who have joined Swap.com so that they could swap for books that they need in their classrooms. These folks spend money out of their own pocket to buy needed books and supplies for the children in their classrooms. So understanding that many teachers and librarians are utilizing Swap.com to help in this regard, we asked many in our community if they would be willing to donate books on some occasions versus receiving another book in swap. Many said yes.
With this need defined and relevant feedback from our community, we embarked on building Swap4Schools. We got access to a database of all of the public schools in the United States. We also created an opportunity for teachers and librarians to join Swap.com to set up their classrooms on Swap4Schools and list books that they need in their “Want” list. Swap.com then creates matches of our members who have these books with the teachers who want these books creating a swap….

Swap.com Mobile is a free iPhone is app that lets you scan items into your HAVE and WANT lists, manage your account, see what you can get for your stuff, and participate in swaps.
